I teach in person, and these days also on Zoom. The Zoom classes enable me to reach people across the globe. Private art lessons are offered both in person or on Zoom.
I have been teaching for more than thirty years. I have taught a variety of venues from college level to young children. Each opportunity to teach has allowed me to share my studio work with others and guide students in exploring their creativity.
Every student can learn the “skills” of drawing and painting with time and perseverance. Through a series of exercises and projects in a class environment, I guide my students through the creative process to find their self-expression. Every student is unique and has a different learning curve. One should never compare themselves to others but their own creative needs. I am supportive. I convey technical information through positive critiques, demonstrations, and illustrations.
I have enjoyed working with young kids for years, watching them grow and change. I find the process of helping teens put together a college portfolio very rewarding. I offer my students one-on-one help with their work either in a simple critique session or in a series of lessons.
I teach at the Concord Center for the Visual Arts, the Danforth Museum of Art, the Fruitlands Art Museum, the Prescott School Community Center, the Monroe Center, the New Art Center, the Worcester Art Museum, and other institutions.
Private in-person art lessons are also offered out of my art studio. I am also available to travel to your studio or home. Please contact me if you would like to benefit from my expertise.
